Kanye West’s hits keep coming: Here are the companies that have cut ties with him
Kanye West is on a roll. After last week’s surprise appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” you couldn’t help but wonder whether West has a new “big” thing going — perhaps something with a rapper or fashion designer, or both.
But for now, West’s attention is currently occupied by the music business. After his appearance on his own Jay-Z track “Champions,” the hip-hop star announced on Twitter that he’s signed with an unnamed, and so far unnamed, artist to release an album later this year. And although West’s first album, “The College Dropout,” didn’t get the kind of massive commercial success that Drake and Future’s did, it’s still the kind of album that could be the start of something big for the young artist.
In the meantime, we can now add a number of other artists to the long list of people who’ve cut ties with West. And if you’re not into sports or gossip, you’ll probably be pleased to know that these records and companies have gone as far as to say that West’s music is not for them.
