Singer Gayle talks upcoming tour with Taylor Swift, Ticketmaster fiasco, and more

Gloria Taylor is a songwriter and singer. She has written songs for pop stars Gwen Stefani and Lady Gaga, and is currently writing for Beyoncé and Taylor Swift. But no one is doing her kind of music like she could.
She’s performed worldwide in more than 30 countries. In fact, Taylor Swift is her favorite artist. “She’s just beautiful…so pure and so wonderful,” Gayle tells GMA. “I’m so excited for Taylor to be on our tour, to be my opening act.”
I am a huge fan of the Taylor Swift song “Mean”. I just think it’s one of her best songs. I had a chance to listen to the song as a demo, and I really liked her voice and her range.”
Taylor Swift is also a big fan of Gloria Taylor, who just released a new EP, titled “Gloria: Music for You”. The EP consists of several songs written by Taylor Swift, and others, including the song “I Love You” – the inspiration song for her new album, “The Hunger Games”.
“‘Mean’ is such a great song, and I had a chance to actually write it for Taylor,” Gayle says. “They just sent her the basic chords…and she used it for her album. It was really cool.”
Gayle says the song’s message is one that Taylor wants to send to young people today.
