Imagine Dragons postpones shows while lead singer recovers from vocal, knee injuries
Dragon member Hwang Sung Min suffered a severe injury during the band’s last show on December 18.
The injury came in the form of a vocal cord injury that made singing impossible.
While Hwang Sung Min was able to overcome the injury, the rest of the band decided to postpone their comeback show for two weeks.
They have been scheduled a new date to perform in two weeks’ time.
The vocal injury occurred on the show on which their first album ‘The First Generation’ was released.
Their official website said, “In order to ease the pain of Hwang Sung Min’s vocal injury, the remaining members have decided to postpone their comeback show while he recuperates.
“While we plan to perform the scheduled comeback date in two weeks’ time, we are still trying our best to help Hwang Sung Min recover from his injury.”
The members had been preparing for their comeback since last August when they released a photo album containing pictures of the members wearing their old costumes for the original version of the song, “Cha Cha Cha”.
The photos were shot on the set of the ‘Cha Cha Cha’ TV drama which was aired on Naver TV last August.
The members said they were grateful for everyone’s support on Twitter.
“For the fans who have been supporting us so far, we are still hoping for a quick recovery,” they wrote.
“We cannot express our gratitude for you until we get our full health back. We will take the time we have while our health is good enough to sing. Thank you for being with us!”
The members had posted the following message on their blog on the site.”
“The four of us who have worked hard for so long and made so many sacrifices since the first day we started Dragon.
“We worked on our original songs and made our music more interesting and popular. We performed in different costumes while filming the drama ‘Cha Cha Cha’, and we wore them on stage.
