Dalhousie University
Dalhousie University is a Canadian university located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Dalhousie is a member of Canada’s largest regional universities and one of the Canadian top 40 universities in the world. It is a private university, and the only one on the Maritime Division. It was founded in 1866 by Sir John Macdonald. The main campus of Dalhousie is on the Halifax River, directly behind the Halifax Harbour. The University maintains six regional campuses across the province.
In addition to being a top university in Canada, Dalhousie ranks high in research. Dalhousie has been described as second only to Princeton among Canadian universities, according to the QS World University Ranking.
